Our Transport Planner, Steve Scullion, won in his “Heavy Hitters” Boxing Match on the 24^th June at the Stockport County Football Club.

Following his big win, we asked Steve about how he prepares for his boxing matches. Steve, who joined JWS Waste’s Transport Department earlier this year, trains 4 times a week at the Boxrooms Gym in Radcliffe.

During his training camp, Steve has to prepare and weigh out all of his clean meals and drink 6 litres of water a day. He says;

“It’s difficult, but I love the preparation and training before the big night! I always have a good crowd coming to cheer me on and always try to put on a show.”

Steve Scullion is now preparing for his next challenge – a heavy weight “Prize Fighter” event which is being held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Saturday 17^th September. A few JWS Waste employees will also be attending the event to cheer Steve on, especially as this huge event will potentially see Steve participate in three boxing matches on the same night!
