The JWS Waste Master Driver Programme
Here at JWS Waste we are committed to the Company’s growth and the development of all our individual team members, which is why we’ve initiated the JWS Waste Master Driver Programme. This extensive programme offers our employees the incredible opportunity to achieve the necessary skills and qualifications to become an LGV Class 2 Driver.
In a programme sponsored by JWS Waste, we will be working alongside a well-established external training organisation that operates in the North West region. The initial programme will facilitate five of our employees with the opportunity to gain the LGV Class 2 Driving Licence.
The first five candidates for our Master Driver Programme include Adam Antrobus, Alison Baxendale, Nuno Dias, Bob Shields and Neil Thorpe. Over the next year of the apprenticeship programme, these JWS Waste employees will be able to develop and learn the required skills in order to receive their LGV Class 2 Driver Licence and be able to become a highly efficient individual for the Company.
The Master Driver Training Programme will take place both at JWS Waste’s own site in Salford and the premises of the training organisation. As health and safety is always a priority for JWS Waste, our own QEHS Advisor, Gemma Aden, will be involved in the health and safety aspects throughout the programme, including being present for the practical training sections of the course.
In a demanding and fast paced industry, we know the importance of commitment to staff development and having each team individual equipped the necessary skills, abilities and qualifications that are vital for providing our customers with a high standard of service. We’re confident that that the JWS Waste Master Driver Programme will be successful in showing great results for both the improvement of our individual team members and the Company as a whole.
Should this programme deliver the expected benefits for the initial selected team members, we would then plan on extending to other valued members of our team and possibly even family of existing long serving employees. Watch this space!
