JWS Have Been Honoured as International Green World Ambassadors
An incredible achievement for the JWS team!
At a prestigious ceremony on Friday 9th June at The Houses of Parliament, London, JWS were honoured as International Green World Ambassadors. Accompanied by prize winners from around the globe, this was truly an international event.
This recognition comes as a result of our environmental success with the Food Waste Project we initiated with the iconic shopping centre, intu Trafford Centre. Most recently, this project won a Silver Green Apple Environmental Award, which was presented at the Palace of Westminster in November last year.
As a result of that success, the award-winning paper will be published in The Green Book – the world’s only annual work of reference on environmental best practice that is distributed to environment professionals, universities and libraries around the world by The Green Organisation.
The winning paper now goes forward for further judging and entry into The Green World Awards for the Environment – the campaign to find the “greenest” organisation in the world.” This presentation will take place in Dubai in December.
Being named Green World Ambassadors is an incredible achievement for the team here at JWS. It highlights that we are invested in providing effective, sustainable solutions to our customers in the North West.
